Roger, Abraham

Roger, Abraham, a Protestant minister, who embarked for the East Indies about 1640, and was pastor at the Dutch factory, Palicat, on the Coromandel coast, for ten years. He died about 1670. From the intercourse he had with the Brahmins he has given a valuable account of their religion and customs — La Vraye Representation de la Religion des Bramines (Amherst, 1670, 4to).
