Morgan, Asbury

Morgan, Asbury a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church, was born in Mecklenburg County,Virginia, August 25, 1797; converted in 1812; entered the South Carolina Conference in 1818; was stationed in Charleston in 1828, and died there, September 25th of the same year, of the "stranger's fever." He was a good man, had been successful on former appointments, and promised usefulness to the Church. See Minutes of Conferences. 2:36.
