Mcleod, Cornelius

McLeod, Cornelius a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, was born about 1820; joined the Church when but a boy; entered the South Carolina Conference in 1837, and for nearly thirty years labored faithfully and zealously for the cause of the Redeemer. His last appointment was Richland Fork Mission. He died April 9, 1866. "McLeod was a successful laborer, and was much beloved by those for whom he labored. Remarkably amiable, he won without effort the affections of those with whom he was associated; and now, though he has passed away, he lives in the hearts of his people." — Conference Minutes of the M. E. Church South, 3:17.
