McLeod, Alexander, D.D.

a Protestant Episcopal clergyman, was rector for a number of years at Huntington, Pennsylvania; in 1857 at Clearfield, having charge of St.

Andrew's Church, and subsequently serving, in addition, as missionary at Phillipsburg. In 1864 he was chaplain in the United States Hospital, Wilmington, Delaware, whence he was sent, in 1866, to Fort Delaware, as army chaplain. In 1871 he was removed to Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, serving in the same position. He died at Meadeville, Pennsylvania, February 9, 1877, in his seventy-seventh year. See Prot. Episc.
