Davis, David a Baptist minister, born in Pembrokeshire, South Wales, in 1707, but was brought to America in 1710. He was pastor of the Welsh Tract Baptist Church at Pencader Hundred, New Castle County, Delaware, from May 27, 1748, until his death, August 19, 1769. See Sprague, Annals of the Amer. Pulpit, 6:117.
