Davis, Daniel Gateward, D.D.
a colonial bishop of the Church of England, was educated at Pembroke College, Oxford; graduated in 1814; after filling various offices in the Church at home, was consecrated in Westminster Abbey as bishop of Antigua, West Indies in 1842, and died in London, October 25, 1857.
