Daret, Jean

Daret, Jean a Benedictine monk, was born at Mantes in 1667. His opposition to the bull Unigenitus made him famous in his day, and he composed controversial writings which are now forgotten. He also assisted Mabillon in his great works. He died January 3, 1736. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
