Crane, Elijah

Crane, Elijah a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born at Bethel, Vermont, about 1800. He was converted in 1816; received license to exhort in 1818; to preach in 1821, and in 1822 entered the New York Conference. In 1833 he was transferred to the Ohio Conference, became a member of the Michigan Conference on its formation, and labored faithfully until 1859, when his health failed. He died April 23, 1868.
