Correa, Manoel (2)

a Portuguese Jesuit, was born in 1712. He entered upon the life of a monk in 1729, went to Brazil, taught at Bahia and at Pernambuco, but was arrested in 1758, for an attack upon Joseph I, and sent to Rome, where he died in 1789.
