Carey, Joel

Carey, Joel a German Reformed minister, was born June 1, 1814. His name first occurs in the minutes of the synod of Ohio as a licentiate of the Maumee classis. He was ordained in 1848, and labored-as a missionary in Napoleon, O., up to the time of his death, Sept. 21, 1849. See Harbaugh, Fathers of the Germ. Ref. Church, 4:494.
