Canfield, Oren K

Canfield, Oren K., a Presbyterian minister, was born in Massachusetts. He graduated at New Jersey College in 1835, and at Princeton Theological Seminary in 1838; and was ordained an evangelist by the Presbytery of New Brunswick, Oct. 7,1840. He labored as a missionary in Liberia for more than a year, and died there, May 7, 1842. See Gen. Cat. of Princeton Theol. Sems. 1881, p. 103.
