Buisson (Lat Bubus), Jean Du

Buisson (Lat. Bubus), Jean Du a Flemish theologian, was born about 1536. He became successively professor in the University of Louvain and chancellor of the University of Douay. He died April 15, 1598, having bequeathed all his property to poor students. He wrote a Harmonia Evangelica (Rome, 1576; Liege, 1693). See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
