Benedetti, Maria an Italian priest and painter of the school of Modena, was born at Reggio about 1650. He was a pupil of Orazio Talami, and excelled in ornaments and perspective. His best work is the vault of the Church of St. Anthony at Brescia. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
