Warburtonian Lecture

Warburtonian Lecture a lecture founded by bishop Warburton (q.v.), to prove the truth of revealed religion in general, and the Christian in particular, from the completion of the prophecies in the Old and New Tests. which relate to the Christian Church, especially the apostasy of papal Rome. Courses of lectures on this foundation have been delivered by Halifax, Hurd, Bagot, Apthorp, and many others.
