Wallis, George
Wallis, George an English Congregational minister, was born at Andover, in May, 1816, and died Sept. 5, 1874. He was educated at the University of Edinburgh, and preached successively at Leytonstone, Bambury, Hugerford, Stonehouse, and Bradford. Mr. Wallis was endowed with talents of no ordinary character, which he cultivated diligently, and became a great power for good to the Church. See (Lond.) Cong. Yearbook, 1875, p. 372.
