Wadsworth, Benjamin (1), D.D.

an American Congregational minister, uncle of John W. (below), was born at Milton, Mass., in 1669. He graduated at Harvard College in 1690; was ordained in 1696, and preached at the First Church, Boston, until 1725; was president of Harvard College from 1725 until his death, which occurred March 16, 1737.
