Van Stavoren, Abraham
Van Stavoren, Abraham a Presbyterian minister, was born in Delaware in 1828; graduated at Illinois College, Jacksonville, Ill., in 1851; studied theology in Lane Seminary, near. Cincinnati, O.; was licensed by Cincinnati Presbytery in 1855; and ordained by Schuyler Presbytery as pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Warsaw, Ill., in 1857. Here he labored about a year, when he accepted a call to the Church at Montrose, Ia., where he labored earnestly and faithfully until his death, April 22, 1860.
