Valleygate

Valley-gate (שִׁעִר הִגֵּיא; Sept. ἡ πύλη τῆς φά ραγγος), an entrance at the north-west end of Jerusalem (Ne 2:13; Ne 3; Ne 13; comp. 2Ch 26:9; 2Ch 33:14); .probably corresponding to the present Jaffa Gate (Keil, Comment. on Nehemiah ad loc.). SEE JERUSALEM.
