Tomlinson, George, D.D.
a prelate of the Church of England, was educated at St. John's College, Cambridge, from which he graduated in 1822. After having served for several years as minister of St. Matthew's Chapel, Spring Gardens, Westminster; he was nominated, in 1842, to the bishopric of Gibraltar; which extends over Malta and the neighboring islands.
