Susanchite
Su'sanchite (Chald. only in the emphat. plur., Susankaye, שׁוּשׁנכָיֵא; Sept. Σουσαναχαῖοι; Vulg. Susanechcei) is found once only (in Ezr 4:9, where it occurs among the list of the nations whom the Assyrians had settled in Samaria, and whose descendants still occupied the country in the reign of the Pseudo-Smerdis). There can be no doubt that it designates the Susians, either the inhabitants of the city.
