Stolz, Alban

Stolz, Alban a Roman Catholic theologian of Germany, was born February 3, 1808, at Bilhl, Baden. In 1833 he was made a priest, was for some time vicar at Rothenfels, in 1841 teacher at the gymnasium in Bruchsal, in 1848 professor of pastoral theology at Freiburg, and died October 16, 1883. Stolz's writings comprise thirteen volumes (Freiburg, 1877 sq.). (B.P.)
