Sihler, Wilhelm
Sihler, Wilhelm a Lutheran minister of Germany, was born in 1801. Having completed his theological studies, he was for a time tutor at the Blochmann Institute at Dresden. In 1843 he came to America, labored for a time in the state of Ohio, and accepted a call as professor at the Lutheran seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1845, where he died, October 27, 1885. He published, Lebenslauf als lutherischer Pastor (1880, 2 volumes): Predigten. (1862, 1874, 1883). (B.P.)
