Sigmaringen, Fidduss of

Sigmaringen, Fidduss Of, properly MARC REI, a Capuchimn monk, was born at Sigmaringen in 1577, and educated at Fribourg. He was sent as a missionary to the Grisons, by whom he was murdered at Senis, April 24,1622. He was canonized by Benedict XIV in 1746. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
