Siber, Urban Gottfried
Siber, Urban Gottfried a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born December 12, 1669, at Schandau, Saxony, and studied at Wittenberg. In 1703 he was deacon, and in 1708 archdeacon at Schneeberg. In 1711 he went to Leipsic, was in 1715 professor, in 1734 doctor of theology, and died June 15, 1741. He wrote, De σκληροκαρδίᾷ e Snenteia Graccorum (Wittenberg, 1697): — De Gaza, Palaestinae Oppido ejusque Episcopis ad Actor. 7:26 (Schneeberg, 1715): — Prolegomena ad Historiam Melodorum Ecclesiae Graecae (1714): — Ecclesiae Graecae Martyrologium Metricum (1727).
