Shuphamite

Shu'phamite (Heb. collectively with the art. hash-Shuphami', הִשּׁוּפמַי, patronymic from Shephupham; Sept. ὁ Σωφανί v.r. Οφαμί; A.V. "Shuphamites"), the designation (Nu 26:39) of the family of Shephupham ("A.V. Shuphan"), or Shephuphan, the son of Benjamin (1Ch 8:5). SEE SHUPPIM.
