Shuah
Shu'ah, the name of three Hebrews, which appears in different forms in the original.
1. (Heb. Shu'ach, שׁוּחִ, a pit; Sept. Σωέ v.r. Σωιέ and Σωυέ.) Last named of the six sons of Abraham by Keturah (Ge 25:2; 1Ch 1:32). B.C. ante 1988. SEE SHUCHITE.
2. The father of Judah's Canaanitish wife (1Ch 2:3). SEE SHUA.
3. (Heb. Shuchah', שׁוּחָה, a pit, Sept.]Ασχά.) A brother (some MSS. have son) of Chelub among.the descendants of Judah (1Ch 4:11). B.C. prob. ante 1612.
