Rybaut (or Ribaut), Paul
Rybaut (Or Ribaut), Paul, a French Protestant minister, was born near Montpellier in 1718. While the law made the preaching of Protestant doctrine a capital offense, he lived and preached for many years in caves and huts in the forest. He was a man of extensive influence, and often used it to restrain his people from violent measures. He died in 1795.
