Riffel, Caspar a Roman Catholic theologian, some time professor of theology at Giessen, who died in 1856, a doctor of theology, is the author of, Christliche Kirchengeschichte der neuesten Zeit (Mayence, 1847, 3 volumes): — Die Auf hebung des Jesuiten-Ordens (3d ed. 1855): — Darstellung der Verhaltnisse zwischen Kirche und Staat (1841).
