Richardson, Manoah

Richardson, Manoah, a Methodist preacher, was born in Lincoln County, Tenn., June 21, 1814; went to Missouri in early life, and settled in Chariton County. He joined the Church in 1831; was licensed to preach Jan. 16, 1841; entered the itinerancy Oct. 16, 1841; and was ordained deacon Oct. 1, 1843; elder Oct. 7, 1845. He did effective work for six years, when he superannuated, owing to failing health, and located at the end of a year. In 1868 he was readmitted into the Missouri Conference, and labored until about four weeks previous to his death, which occurred in Bloomington, Macon Co., Mo., April 18, 1871.
