Resignation
Resignation a patient, unresisting submission to the will of God, acknowledging both his power and right to afflict. The obligations to this duty arise from: 1. The perfections of God (De 32:4). 2. The purpose of God (Eph 1:11). 3. The commands of God (Heb 12:9). 4. The promises of God (1Pe 5:7). 5. Our own interest (Ho 2:14-15). 6. The prospect of eternal felicity (Heb 4:9). SEE PATIENCE.
