Reineccius, Jacob

Reineccius, Jacob a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born at Salzwedel in 1571. He studied at Wittenberg, was for some time pastor at Tangermiinde, and in 1601 provost at Berlin. In 1609 he was called to Hamburg, and in 1611 was appointed inspector of the newly-founded gymnasium. Reineccius died in June, 1613. He wrote, Panoplia sive Amatura Theologica (Wittenberg, 1609): — Artificiuni Disputandi (eod.) — Clavis Sanctae Theologiae (Hamburg, 1611, 2 volumes): — Veteris ac Novi Testamenti Convenientia et Differentia (1612): — Calvinianorum Ortus, Cursus et Exitus (eod.).
