Ray, Benjamin
Ray, Benjamin an English clergyman, flourished in the first half of the last century. He was perpetual curate of Surfleet and curate of Cowbitt, and died in 1760. He contributed to the Trans. of the Spaldinq Society, to the Gentleman's Magazine, 1744 (on an ancient coin, etc.), and to the Philosophical Transactions, 1751 (on a water-spout), and left some works in manuscript.
