Quagutl Version of the Scriptures
Quagutl Version Of The Scriptures Quagutl is the vernacular spoken by the Indians of Vancouver's Island. From the report of the British and Foreign Bible Society for 1882 we learn that, at the request of the Church Missionary Society, the gospel of Matthew, translated by the Reverend A.J. Hall, the only European who has studied the Quagutl, has been printed by the British and Foreign Bible Society. The same society also published, in 1884, the gospel of John, prepared likewise by Mr. Hall. (B.P.)
