Porter, Samuel
Porter, Samuel a Presbyterian minister, was born in Ireland in 1760, came to this country in 1790, and accepted a pastorate at Poke Run in 1790, and in 1798 at Congruity, Pennsylvania. He published several Sermons (1793, 1805, 1811), which were reprinted with two dialogues in 1853, with a biographical sketch of the author by Rev.
