Pomis, Christian De
Pomis, Christian de a converted Portuguese Jew, flourished in the 17th century. In 1668 he was baptized at Nuremberg, and in 1669 he was made teacher of the Hebrew and Talmudic language at the University of Altorf. He wrote Comparatio agni Paschulis Vet. Test. cum agno Paschalis Novi Test. oratione Hebraea memoriter proposita, in Hebrew, with a Latin transl. (Altorf, 1669). See Cod. Senat. Lips. 19:4; Delitzsch, Wissenschaft u. Kunst d.
