Pilsen, Francis

Pilsen, Francis a Flemish painter and engraver who flourished at Ghent about the middle of the 18th century. He studied under Robert van Audenarde. Little is known of his painting; but there are a few prints by him, among which are the following: Virgin and Infant Jesus; Conversion of St. Bavon; a St. Firancis, after Rubens; The Martyrdom of St. Blaize, after G. de Crayer.
