Phelps, AUSTIN, D.D.
a Congregational minister and professor, was born at West Brookfield, Massachusetts, January 7, 1820. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1837; and was pastor of Pine Street Church, Boston, 1842- 48; and professor of sacred rhetoric in Andover Theological Seminary, 1848-79. He died at Bar Harbor, Maine, October 13, 1890.
