Patterson, Robert, D.D.

a Reformed Presbyterian minister, was born at Littlekenny, County Donegal, Ireland. He studied there and at Londonderry, attended the Theological Seminary of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was licensed to preach in 1851 and ordained in 1852; became pastor at Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1854, at Chicago, Illinois, in 1857, of the Jefferson Presbyterian Church in the same city in 1867; removed to California in 1873, became pastor at San Francisco the same year, at Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1878, in 1880 minister at Brooklyn, California, and died at San Francisco, January 17, 1885.
