Pape, Heinrich

Pape, Heinrich a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born at Bremen in 1745. He studied at Gottingen, was preacher at different places in the duchy of Bremen, and died April 17,1805. He is the author of, Das 53. Capitel Iesaid uber-setz und erklart (Bremen, 1777): — Das Evangeliun Luca umschrieben und eralutert (1777-81, 2 volumes); besides, he wrote some ascetical works, for which see Doring, Die gelehrten Theologen Deutschlands, s.v.
