Paladini, Litterio
Paladini, Litterio an Italian painter, was born, according to Hackert, in 1691. He studied at Rome under Sebastiano Conca, and afterwards improved himself by a diligent study of the antique models. On his return to Messina he was employed on several considerable fresco works for the church of Monte Vergine. This work is on a grand scale, and is highly commended for correctness of design. He died of the great plague which ravaged Messina in 1743.
