Ovalle

Ovalle (sometimes written Ovaglie), ALFONSO DE, a Jesuit of Spanish extraction, was born in Chili in 1601. He died in 1651. He published in 1646 a Historical Account of the Kingdom of Chili and the Jesuit Missions in that country. See Backer, Biblioth. des ecrivains de la Compagniede Jesus (1854), 2d series, p. 451.
