Oldham, Hugh

Oldham, Hugh an English prelate of great learning, was born near Manchester in the 15th century. He became bishop of Exeter in 1504. He founded a free school in Manchester, and added to the endowment of Corpus Christi College, Oxford. He died in 1519., See Hook, Ecclesiastes Biog. 8:457.
