Nave (גִּב, gab, anything convex or arched, as the back of an animal, Ezr 10:12; boss of a shield, Job 15:26); the rim or arch of a wheel. The word occurs in describing the wheels of the ten bases of brass, upon which the levers stood, in the court of Solomon's Temple (1Ki 7:33). SEE LAYER.
