Murray, Edward
Murray, Edward an eminent English divine of recent times, was born near the opening of this century. and flourished successively as rural dean and chaplain to the bishop of Rochester; vicar of Hinsford in 1823, and of Northholt in 1836. He died in 1852. He published, Prayers and Collects translated from Calvin (Lond. 1832, 8vo): — Enoch Restitutus, or an attempt to separate from the Book of Enoch the Book quoted by St. Jude (Dublin, 1836, 8vo), a work which "displays much learning, research, and diligent inquiry" (British Magazine, July 1836, page 57).
