Mortimer, Thomas, D.D.
an English divine. who was born near the opening of our century, flourished at London as minister of Gray's Inn, and died in 1849. He' published Lectures on the Influence of the Holy Spirit (Lond. 1824, 8vo), which Bickersteth pronounces "evangelical, practical, and edifying," and several series of his Sermons (Lond. 1822, 8vo; 1825, 8vo).
