Mino, Maestro

Mino, Maestro a distinguished sculptor, flourished during the 15th century. The exact dates of his birth and death are unknown. He is sometimes called MINO DEL REGNO. The statues of San Pietro and San Paolo, which are in the sacristy of St. Peter's, at Rome, but which until 1847 stood at the foot of the steps of St. Peter's, are his work; also the Tomb of Pope Paul II, in the Basilica of St. Peter's.
