Miller, Josiah
Miller, Josiah an English minister, who died December 22, 1880, at London, where he had for a long time been secretary to the London City Mission, is best known for his writings on hymnology. His first volume in this branch of religious literature, Our Hymns, their Authors and Origin, appeared in 1866; three years later a second edition was published, under the altered title of Singers and Songs of the Church (Lond. 1869), which has also been reprinted in New York.
