McLain, William, D.D.
a Presbyterian minister, was born in Ohio, and served several churches as pastor. His last charge was the First Presbyterian Church of Washington city, D. C., which position he resigned to become financial secretary of the Colonization Society, with which he was identified for many years. He died at Washington, February 15, 1873, aged sixty-six years.
