Mckay, William
Mckay, William, a Presbyterian minister, was born in Columbiana County, Ohio, July 7, 1825; pursued his academic course at Jefferson College, Canonsburg, Pa.; studied theology at the Western Theological Seminary, Alleghany City, Pa.; was licensed by the Presbytery of New Lisbon, and immediately took temporary charge of the Church at Yellow Creek; but, owing to ill health and other causes, had to give up his labors. He died Jan. 19, 1863. Mr. McKay possessed an extensive knowledge of the Scriptures, and was well versed in theology. See Wilson, Presb. Hist. Almanac, 1864, p. 187.
