Mccalla, Daniel
McCalla, Daniel D.D., a Congregational minister, was born at Neshaminy, Pa., in 1748; graduated at Princeton College, N. J., in 1766; was licensed to preach July 20, 1772; taught an academy in Philadelphia; was ordained pastor of New Providence and Charleston, Pa., in 1774; acted as chaplain in the Revolutionary War; taught afterwards an academy in Hanover County, Va.; and was finally twenty-one years minister at Wappetaw, S.
